# teams

a group of players under one name. shared base, shared projects, people to log on for.

#### starting one

`/team create name`. keep it short, it follows you around in chat. get a couple of people who actually play before you name it, teams die from being empty.

#### people

* `/team invite username` and `/team join name`
* `/team kick username`, `/team leave`
* `/team disband` deletes the whole thing, no undo
* `/team list` the team leaderboard, worth a look before you join one

#### the base

* `/team sethome` sets where the team spawns in, `/team home` gets you there
* `/team setwarp` extra named spots, for a farm or a mine you keep going back to
* `/team allychat` a channel with the teams you're allied to

#### claims still apply

a team doesn't hand anyone access to your land. trust them on the claim or they can't place a block. see land claims.

#### finding one

the teams channel in discord is where people recruit. or play solo the whole way, plenty do.

#### next

more homes, more shops, more warps. ranks and voting.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://fogsmp.gitbook.io/fogsmp-docs/making-money/teams.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
